COVID-19 Vaccine

We’re offering the new COVID-19 vaccine so you can stay up to date with the latest guidance.

HPV Vaccine

Human Papillomavirus is a common STI that may cause various health problems.

Tdap Vaccine

Adults need one dose of Tdap, then a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

RSV Vaccine

Pregnant patients and adults ages 60+ may need a vaccine for RSV prevention.

Chickenpox (Varicella)

This vaccine helps protect against chickenpox, a highly contagious viral infection caused by the varicella-zoster virus. It is available in two doses, with the first dose being administered at 12-15 months old and the second dose at 4-6 years old.

COVID-19

This vaccine helps protect against the SARS-CoV-2 virus. It is recommended that everyone over the age of 6 months receive an updated COVID-19 vaccine, regardless of their prior vaccination status. Individuals who are moderately or severely immunocompromised may require an additional dose of this vaccine.

Flu (Influenza)

This vaccine helps protect against seasonal influenza viruses. It is recommended that everyone over the age of 6 months receive a yearly flu vaccine.

Hepatitis A

This vaccine helps protect against Hepatitis A, a highly contagious liver infection caused by the hepatitis A virus (HAV). It is available in two doses, with the first dose recommended at 12-23 months old and the second dose at least 6 months following the initial vaccination.

The hepatitis A vaccine is also recommended for individuals who are at an increased risk for hepatitis A infection, including those traveling outside the country, those with chronic liver disease and individuals 2-18 years old who have not previously received the hepatitis A vaccine.

Hepatitis B

This vaccine helps protect against hepatitis B, a blood-borne infection of the liver caused by the hepatitis B virus. It is available for infants, children and adolescents under 19 years old who have not been vaccinated, as well as for adults who are at increased risk of hepatitis B.

Hib (Haemophilus Influenzae Type B)**

This vaccine helps protect against Haemophilus influenzae type B (Hib), a bacterial infection that can lead to many illnesses, including ear infections, pneumonia and sepsis. It is available to all children under the age of 5. Older children and adults may also receive this vaccine if they are at risk or have certain chronic conditions.

HPV (Human Papillomavirus)

This vaccine helps protect against HPV, the major cause of cervical cancer, anal cancer and genital warts in both women and men. It is available in two doses, with the first dose typically given around 11-12 years old, though it may be administered as early as 9 years old.

Adults aged 27-45 who have not received the HPV vaccine may choose to do so after discussing it with their doctor.

Meningitis (Meningococcal)

There are two types of meningococcal vaccines that protect against meningococcal disease, a bacterial or viral infection of the fluid surrounding the brain and spinal cord. These vaccines are available in two doses, with the first dose recommended around 11-12 years old and a booster at 16-18 years old. Individuals aged 16-23 may also receive a serogroup B meningococcal vaccine.

MMR (Measles, Mumps, and Rubella)

This vaccine helps protect against the respiratory disease measles, the infectious disease mumps and the viral disease rubella. It is available in two doses, with the first dose administered at 12-15 months old and the second dose at 4-6 years old.

Adults and students at post-high school educational institutions who are uncertain about their vaccination status should talk to their provider about receiving this vaccine.

Pneumonia (Pneumococcal)

There are two types of pneumococcal vaccines (conjugate and polysaccharide) that protect against pneumococcal disease, the term for any infection caused by the Streptococcus pneumoniae or pneumococcus bacteria. These vaccines are available to children younger than 5 years old and individuals who smoke, have heart disease, asthma or chronic lung disease, or are over the age of 65.

Polio**

This vaccine helps protect against polio, a disease that can infect a person’s spinal cord and cause paralysis. It is available in four doses, with the first dose being administered at 2 months old, second at 4 months old, third at 6-18 months old and fourth at 4-6 years old.

Td or Tdap (Tetanus, Diphtheria, and Pertussis)

This vaccine helps protect against tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis, which are contagious bacterial diseases. It is available to adolescents 11-12 years old. In addition to the initial dose of Tdap, adults should receive a Td or Tdap booster every 10 years.

Our Available Injections

The Little Clinic is equipped to administer certain prescribed injections and allergy shots at the provider’s discretion based on your illness, symptoms, health status and the prescribed injectable. To obtain additional information on the prescribed injections or allergy shots that may be administered at The Little Clinic, stop by or call your local clinic. The Pharmacy is unable to administer injections at this time.

Allergy

Once you have received the two initial shots administered by your allergist, you’re welcome to visit any of our clinic locations for subsequent injections. Please bring the following items to your visit:

Written approval from your allergist
Allergy serum vial
Dosing instructions and injection log

Note: After your allergy shot is administered at The Little Clinic, we will observe you for 30 minutes.

B-12

Vitamin B-12 injections can be administered at The Little Clinic with a valid prescription for the medication. Fill the prescription at a pharmacy, then bring the medication directly to any clinic location. After reviewing the prescriber’s instructions and conducting a quick consultation, the healthcare provider may administer your medication.

Birth Control

The Little Clinic is equipped to administer injectable birth control, such as Depo-Provera, in all clinic locations. Fill the prescription at a pharmacy, then bring the medication directly to any clinic location. One of our Board-Certified Healthcare Providers will review the prescription with you and discuss any healthcare concerns before administering. Please note that a pregnancy test may be required prior to administration of certain medications.

Self-Injectable Medication (Patient-Supplied)

Most prescribed medications can be taken by mouth. However, there are some medications that must be administered via injection either into the muscle or fatty tissue in the body. While most of these can be self-administered at home, sometimes it is required (or more comfortable) to have a healthcare provider administer these for you. The Little Clinic can provide injections of patient-supplied home medications at all locations after a consultation and examination by one of our Board-Certified Healthcare Providers. Contact your local clinic to ask about your specific medication.

Rocephin

Rocephin, or ceftriaxone, is an antibiotic medication that is used to treat several common infections. Rocephin can be administered with a prescription from another healthcare provider, or after a consultation and examination by a healthcare provider at The Little Clinic.
