  Trinchero Napa Valley Forte Red Wine is deep and dense from start to finish. Dense ruby purple in color, this wine reveals abundant aromas of huckleberry compote, creamy vanilla and espresso. This wine is bold on the palate with velvety tannins that are fuzzy like a peach’s skin. Intense flavors of ripe black fruits and sweet baking spice are complemented with hints of lavender and graphite. The wine has a long finish with firm, yet comforting tannins. Blended with other Bordeaux varietals, the Malbec piece of this blend makes Forte a very expressive, extracted, unique new-world style wine. This red wine blend received 91 points from Wine Enthusiast in 2017. This wine is sustainably sourced from several of their prime estate vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. In crafting this red blend, they hand select barrels of Malbec from their Haystack Vineyard in Atlas Peak and Cloud’s Nest Vineyard in Mount Veeder, two high-elevation regions in Napa Valley. The Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot come from their Central Park West Vineyard in St. Helena and the Merlot comes from Vera’s Vineyard in South Napa. This red wine was aged 22 months in 100% French oak [60% new]. Pair this luxurious wine with steak and potatoes, short ribs and polenta or grilled portobello mushrooms.
