  Roger is a foster kid who loves baseball, specifically the Anaheim Angels, who just happen to be the worst team in the major leagues. Roger's estranged father has promised to return and reunite the family when the Angels make it to the World Series, so Roger decides to ask for some divine help. After praying that his favorite team will turn things around, a real angel by the name of Al shows up, and Anaheim's hopeless coach is shocked when his team goes on an unexpected winning streak.
