Product Information

  • Savor a taste of the tropics. Brown Coconuts are best used only for their fresh, sweet, flaky meat. To open a coconut pierce the three dark-colored eyes at the top of the coconut. Drain and discard the liquid. Bake coconut at 400°F for about 15 minutes. Once cool, tap coconut with a hammer until it cracks open.

    • Rich, slightly sweet and nutty taste
    • Eat as a snack, or incorporate into baked goods, curries, beverages and desserts
    • Good source of fiber and zinc.

    Use caution when opening: To open, use a knife to de-husk the pointy side of the coconut.Using the heel of the knife, cut the coconut at the endpoint to create a circle. Once the coconut is scoredand cracked, use the heel of the knife to pry off the tip.
