  Guava is believed to have originated from an area extending from southern Mexico into or through Central America. Guava offers a true trip to the tropics, starting from the first whiff. The sweet, tart floral fruit can be eaten on its own, or mashed up and used in baking; try guava bread instead of banana bread!
