Hall’s Beer Cheese is the original beer cheese, developed on the Kentucky River in the 1930’s at a restaurant that is on a site near Fort Boonesboro where there has been a tavern or restaurant continuously since the 1780’s. Hall’s Beer Cheese was an appetizer served to the Queen of England in the 1980’s when she came to Kentucky to check on her thoroughbred horses, and sought a pub-like atmosphere. It may be fit for royalty, but it is adored by real folks. We make it with real cheese, just like it has been made for generations. Simple ingredients include aged Wisconsin cheddar, and of course, real beer. The alcohol gets mostly evaporated out, leaving the beer flavor, which combined with spices blends amazing well with our cheese.
