These hard-to-recycle plastics include common items like plastic utensils, candy wrappers, pet food bags, and foam takeout containers. Simply start collecting accepted hard-to-recycle plastics in the official Hefty ReNew orange bag. When the bag is full, use dependable drawstrings to tie it closed and place in your curbside recycling bin/cart with normal recyclables. Your regular recycling truck will pick up and deliver the bags to your local recycling facility (MRF). The recycling center then separates these bags from other materials and sends them on to facilities that use the hard-to-recycle plastics as an energy resource or break them down to create new and useful products.
