HemisFares™ Gemelli Twin Pasta
Product Information
Gemelli originated in the south of Italy where coils of pasta were intertwined as a symbol of love.
According to legend, gemelli, or "twins" pasta, was created by two young "pastai" [pasta makers] to celebrate their engagement. To symbolically portray an embrace, two coils of pasta were intertwined. This pasta is bronze cut to create a texture that allows sauces to cling perfectly to its shape. Gemelli pairs perfectly with a fresh tomato sauce or with Italian olive oil from Sicily.
