Product Information
Penfolds Bin 389 South Australia Cabernet Shiraz Red Wine combines the structure of Cabernet Sauvignon aligned with the richness of Shiraz. First made in 1960 by the legendary Max Schubert, blackberries, savory herbs, licorice, cassis, and new oak exemplify the judicious balance of savory fruit and oak from start to finish. Often referred to as ‘Baby Grange’, in part because components of the wine are matured in the same barrels that held the previous vintage of Grange, this was the wine that helped forge Penfolds reputation with red wine drinkers. Since 1844, Penfolds has been grounded in experimentation, curiosity, and uncompromising quality. Founded in Australia by Dr. Christopher Penfold, a medical practitioner, and his wife Mary, Penfolds is one of the world’s most renowned and iconic wineries in the world today.
