  Our Cabernet Sauvignon comes from some of our best vineyard sites throughout the North Coast of California. The majority comes from Lake County where volcanic, rocky soils and dramatic mountainside vineyards provide intense structure and concentration. The remainder is a mix from Sonoma County, Mendocino County and the remaining from sites throughout California. Our 2022 is comprised of 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Merlot, 4% Petite Sirah, and 3% mixed reds. Grapes were destemmed and crushed to tank for a two day cold soak, prior to inoculation and a warm ferment to dryness. Wine was pressed off skins with a small amount of press going to tank for settling and then racking to a mixture of barrels and stainless steel tanks for malolactic fermentation and aging prior to filtration and bottling. The wine was aged for 10 months in 20% French oak and 80% stainless steel. Our 2022 North Coast Cabernet Sauvignon is juicy and enticing. Aromas of dark fruits and oak spice lead to a smooth palate with layered flavors of blackberry preserves, forest floor and a hint of graphite. Soft tannins round out the wine with balanced oak through the finish.
