Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 cups Elbow Macaroni Pasta
  • 1⁄2 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 4 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1 cup crushed tomatoes
  • 3⁄4 cup whole milk
  • 1 1⁄2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 2 tablespoons parsley, chopped
  • Pickles, sliced

Directions

  • Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain; set aside.
  • Meanwhile, in large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and onion. Cook until tender.
  • Stir in beef; cook, breaking into crumbles, until browned. Add salt, pepper, oregano and garlic. Continue cooking 2 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Stir in tomatoes and milk. Bring to simmer; continue cooking 3-5 minutes.
  • Fold in cooked pasta, cheese and parsley. Cover with lid; let cook 3 minutes, until cheese is melted. Serve with pickles.
