Awesome Applesauce

Serve warm or chilled, or as a complement to a main pork, chicken, or beef dish. Or freeze for an icy, sweet summer treat!

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs. Jonathan apples, peeled, cored, and coarsely chopped
  • ½ cup water
  • ½ cup maple syrup
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a 6-quart slow cooker and cover.
  • Cook on high until apples are very soft and form applesauce when stirred, about 2–2½ hours.
