Bacon Port Breakfast Sandwich
Wake up your breakfast hour with an out-of-the-ordinary delight. This open-faced breakfast sandwich is absurdly simple to make, but tastes like a gourmet dream come true. Enjoy it with coffee or juice. The flavors pair perfectly with everything you love starting your day with.

- 2 slices rustic bread
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 2 thick slices port cheese
- 4 slices bacon, cooked
- 2 Tbsp. honey
- 1 tsp. fresh thyme
- Spread butter on both sides of the bread. Cook one side of the buttered bread in a skillet over medium heat until light golden brown, about 2 to 4 minutes.
- Flip the bread, top with slices of port cheese and bacon. Cover the skillet and cook just until the cheese is melted, about 3 minutes. Remove and place on serving plates.
- In a small bowl, stir together honey and thyme. Drizzle this mixture over the top of each slice of bread.
