Banana Protein Waffles
It’s easy to get kids to eat their protein when it’s baked into these warm, banana-based breakfast favorites.

Ingredients
- 2 ripe bananas, mashed
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 2 tablespoons butter or coconut oil, melted
- 1 cup almond flour
- 1⁄2 cup Simple Truth™ Vanilla Whey Protein Powder
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- Nut butter, optional
Directions
- Heat waffle iron according to manufacturer instructions.
- In large bowl, whisk together mashed banana, eggs and coconut oil.
- Stir in remaining ingredients until well blended.
- Scoop batter into waffle iron; cook until golden brown on the outside.
- Serve topped with peanut or almond butter.
