Basic Chocolate Chip Fondue for Four

Serve this easy-to-make dish with or without the liqueur. Feel free to experiment with different flavors of baking chips.

  • 1¾ cups chocolate chips
  • ⅓ cup plus 2 Tbsp. light cream
  • 1 Tbsp. liqueur
  • 4 cups fresh fruit for dipping


  • Combine the chocolate chips and cream in a metal bowl and place on top of a saucepan half-filled with simmering water. Melt the chocolate on low to medium-low heat, stirring frequently and making sure that it doesn’t boil. Stir in the liqueur.
  • Transfer the fondue mixture to the fondue pot and set on the burner. Keep the fondue warm on low heat. Serve with fresh fruit for dipping.
