Basic Cooked Converted Rice
The amount of water required to make converted rice may vary with different brands. Be sure to follow specific cooking instructions if they are given.

- 1 cup converted rice
- 2 cups water
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- In a medium-sized saucepan, bring the rice and water to a boil, uncovered, on medium heat. Let the mixture boil until holes, or “craters,” appear in the rice. Cover tightly, reduce heat to low, and simmer until all the water has evaporated, about 20 minutes. Add the butter, fluff up the rice, and serve.
