Basic Freezer Meatballs

These meatballs go straight from the freezer to the cooking pot, making them very useful to keep on-hand.

  • 2 lbs. ground beef
  • 1 cup bread or cracker crumbs
  • 1⁄2 cup grated Parmesan
  • 1 sprig chopped parsley
  • 1 tsp. garlic salt
  • 2 beaten eggs
  • 1⁄4 cup dry red wine


  • Combine all ingredients. Form into balls and bake at 350°F for 30 minutes–1 hour depending upon the size of the meatball, until it is no longer pink in the middle. Cool for 30 minutes, then freeze.
  • Add frozen meatballs to desired sauce and cook over medium temperature 20 to 25 minutes or until heated to desired temperature. Meatballs can also be defrosted in the refrigerator overnight and used as desired.
