Basic Sticky Rice
Sticky rice is common in many Asian cuisines. You can serve it in place of regular rice or in many Asian recipes.

- 1 cup short-grain sticky rice
- 2 cups water
- Rinse rice well. Place in a bowl with enough water to cover and soak for at least 2 hours, preferably overnight. Drain well.
- Place the rice and water in a medium saucepan over medium-high heat and bring to a boil, covered.
- Reduce the heat to low. Do not remove the lid. Simmer for 20 minutes. Let cool for 15 minutes before serving.
