Basil Sorbet

This colorful, herbal sorbet makes a refreshing dessert after a heavy meal. Check the instructions for your ice cream maker before beginning as you may need to freeze the bowl before adding the sorbet base.

  • 3⁄4 cup water
  • 2⁄3 cup fresh basil, chopped
  • 3 Tbsp. agave nectar
  • 1 Tbsp. lemon peel, grated


  • Place all ingredients in a food processor and pulse until smooth.
  • Pour into an ice cream or sorbet maker and churn according to manufacturerʼs instructions.
