Basil Tea (Tulsi Waali Chai)
Tulsi, also called holy basil, is sacred in the India where it is made into tea to treat coughs, colds, and fevers. You can buy tulsi basil at some supermarkets, Indian markets, and online.

- 8 cups water
- 4 black tea bags
- 1 cup tulsi basil leaves
- Pour the water into the slow cooker. Add the tea bags. Cover and cook for 2 hours on high setting. Once the water starts bubbling and has turned dark in color, add the basil leaves. Cook for another 45 minutes.
- Strain if desired and serve.
