Blackberry Lime Sorbet

Blackberry and lime reunite once again to delight the taste buds in this refreshing (and refreshingly easy) sorbet.

  • 4 cups fresh blackberries
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • ⅔ cup lime juice


  • Wash the berries and combine with the water and sugar in a large saucepan over medium heat. Stirring occasionally, cook the berries until soft and liquidized, about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and cool to room temperature.
  • Place berries in blender or food processor and add lime juice. Purée until smooth. Press through strainer to remove seeds, if desired. Refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
  • Pour mixture into a pan, cover and freeze for three hours. Remove from the freezer and stir. Return to the freezer and freeze until solid. Serve by scraping mixture out with a fork.
