Blanched String Beans

This simple side dish makes any meal complete.

  • 1 lb. string beans
  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice


  • Blanch the vegetables in a large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes, and then chill them in bowl of cold water for 5 minutes.
  • Toss with the olive oil and lemon juice.
