Blanched Sugar Snap Peas

Naturally sweet sugar snap peas make a healthy snack or nutritious ingredient in sautés or blanched salads. Although they can be eaten raw, cooking makes them sweeter.

  • 1 cup fresh sugar snap peas
  • 4 cups spring water


  • To prepare sugar snap peas, snap off the bottom and top of the pod. Pull off the thread along the seams.
  • In a saucepan, bring 4 cups spring water to boil. Add sugar snap peas and cook until they turn bright green, about 1 minute. Drain.
