This intensely flavored sorbet is really good served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can also scoop it into the center of a small cantaloupe or drizzle it over a slice of honeydew.

- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
- 3 cups blueberry purée
- ¼ cup lemon juice
- Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and chill.
- Combine chilled sugar syrup, blueberry purée, and lemon juice. Freeze in an ice-cream freezer according to manufacturer’s instructions.
