Blueberry Sorbet

This intensely flavored sorbet is really good served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. You can also scoop it into the center of a small cantaloupe or drizzle it over a slice of honeydew.

  • ½ cup sugar
  • ¼ cup water
  • 3 cups blueberry purée
  • ¼ cup lemon juice


  • Combine sugar and water in a saucepan and heat just until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and chill.
  • Combine chilled sugar syrup, blueberry purée, and lemon juice. Freeze in an ice-cream freezer according to manufacturer’s instructions.
