Brandy Cocoa

This is a mellow and delicious drink for the holidays.

  • 4 cups whole milk
  • 2 Tbsp. unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1⁄3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1⁄2 tsp. ground cinnamon
  • 1 1⁄2 cups boiling water
  • 3 tsp. brandy


  • In a saucepan, scald milk.
  • In another saucepan, mix cocoa, sugar, cinnamon and enough boiling water to make a smooth paste. Add remaining water and boil 1 minute, then add to milk.
  • Mix well; add brandy, then beat mixture with egg beater for 2 minutes. Serve in large mugs.
