Cajun Popcorn

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup popcorn kernels
- 1⁄2 tsp. fine salt
- 3 tbsp. canola or vegetable oil
- 3 tbsp. butter
- 1⁄2 a lemon, zested & juiced
- 1 tsp. paprika
- 1⁄2 tsp. onion powder
- 1⁄2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1⁄4 tsp. cayenne pepper
Directions
- Add the popcorn, salt, and oil to a 4-quart or larger pot. Cover with a not-too-tight lid so steam can escape.
- Place the pan over a high flame.
- When the corn begins to pop, move it back and forth. Continue shaking the pot until the popcorn almost stops popping.
- Turn off the heat, stir in any salt that has accumulated on the side, and transfer to a bowl.
- Add 3 Tablespoons of butter to the hot pot and melt. Drizzle over popcorn.
- Zest then juice lemon.
- Combine seasonings.
- Drizzle lemon juice over popcorn.
- Sprinkle seasonings and zest over popcorn.
- Toss to mix.
