Cherry Fire Extinguisher

Tart cherries have been shown to contain compounds that deliver a powerful anti-inflammatory punch. Researchers at Oregon Health & Science University state that tart cherries “have the highest anti-inflammatory content of any food, including blueberries, pomegranates, and other fruits.”

  • 1 cup pitted tart cherries
  • 1 cup light coconut milk
  • 1⁄2 cup blueberries
  • 1⁄2 tsp. turmeric
  • 1⁄2 tsp. ground ginger
  • 2 Tbsp. virgin coconut oil


  • Add all the ingredients to a blender, adding the coconut oil last. Blend until smooth. Pour into a glass and enjoy with a blueberry or cherry garnish.
