Cherry Smoothie

The anti-inflammatory properties of cherries make this smoothie perfect for active kids. Prepare this drink for afternoon refreshment, after a long day of playing outside. Freeze extra cherries to float on top of the drink.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 2 cups pitted cherries
  • 1 large apple, cored and peeled
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • 2 cups water

Directions

  • Combine spinach, cherries, apple, vanilla, and 1 cup water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Add remaining 1 cup water and blend again until all ingredients are well incorporated. Serve.
