Chilled Slow Cooker Sangria
Sangria is a very popular Spanish beverage made with chilled red wine and fresh fruit.

- 1 bottle (750-milliliter) red wine
- 1 orange, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- 1 lime, sliced
- 1 cup diced pineapples
- 1 green apple, core and seeds removed and cut into chunks
- 1 quart ginger ale
- 8 maraschino cherries
- 8 cups ice
- To a 4-quart slow cooker add the wine, orange, lemon, lime, pineapple, and apple. Cover and cook on low heat for 2 hours.
- Transfer sangria to a heatproof pitcher, cool, and then refrigerate for at least 1 hour. Stir in the ginger ale just before serving. Pour into glasses with ice and garnish with maraschino cherries.
