Cinnamon-and-Sugar Pecans

Not only a tasty snack, these sweet chopped pecans are also delicious sprinkled over French toast.

  • 3 cups pecan halves
  • 3 Tbsp. butter, melted
  • 2 tsp. vanilla
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • ½ tsp. salt


  • Add all ingredients to a 4-quart slow cooker. Stir to coat the nuts evenly. Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or on high for 2 hours, stirring occasionally.
  • Uncover and continue to cook on low for another hour, stirring occasionally, to dry the nuts. Next, spread the nuts evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper or aluminum foil until they are completely cooled. Store them in an airtight container in the pantry for up to 2 weeks.
