Classic Chicken Tikka Masala

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 medium red onion, chopped
  • 1 1⁄2 pounds chicken breast, diced
  • 1 jar Private Selection Tikka Masala Curry Simmer Sauce, 16 oz.
  • 1 3⁄4 tomatoes, diced
  • Serving Suggestion
  • steamed rice
  • fresh cilantro
  • plain yogurt

Directions

  • Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium-low heat. Add the onion and cook. Until lightly golden. Push the onions to the edge of the skillet.
  • Increase the heat to medium, and add the chicken in an even layer. Cook undisturbed for three minutes, then toss and cook for another three minutes. Pour in the simmer sauce and tomatoes.
  • Stir to combine, cover, and cook for 15 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through.
  • Serve with steamed rice, fresh cilantro, and plain yogurt if desired.
