Classic Red Tomato Salsa

Once you see how simple it is to make this homemade salsa, you will never want to buy the store-bought variety again! Serve with baked corn tortilla chips.

  • 6 large, ripe, juicy red tomatoes
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 2 jalapeño peppers, cored, seeded, and chopped
  • 1⁄2 cup minced sweet white onion
  • Juice of 1 lime
  • 1 tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1⁄2 cup minced cilantro


  • Place all the ingredients in a food processor and pulse until well blended. Do not purée. Refrigerate at least 1 hour before serving.
