Clean “Chocolate”–Almond Butter Smoothie

A clean substitute for chocolate, dates provide a great “chocolaty” flavor with immense nutrition and without unnecessary fat, calories, and sugar. If you like the taste of chocolate and peanut butter, youʼre going to love this delicious smoothie!

Ingredients

  • 1 banana, peeled
  • 4 dates, pitted
  • ¼ cup raw cocoa
  • ¼ cup natural almond butter
  • 2 cups vanilla almond milk
  • 2 cups ice

Directions

  • Combine the banana, dates, cocoa, almond butter, and almond milk in the blender with ½ cup of the ice and blend until thoroughly combined.
  • Add remaining ice gradually while blending until desired consistency is reached.
