Cleaned-Up Cranberry Sauce

Canned varieties of cranberry sauce can be riddled with excess . . . everything. Slim down the ingredient list to simple, all-natural ingredients, and your taste buds and your body will be happy and healthier.

  • 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice
  • ¼ cup agave nectar
  • 1 Tbsp. orange zest
  • 1 lb. cranberries, washed


  • In a large pot over medium heat, bring the orange juice, agave nectar, and orange zest to a boil. Reduce the heat to low, and simmer.
  • Add the washed cranberries to the pot, and simmer for about 10–15 minutes, or until the cranberries begin to burst. Remove from heat, stir, and allow the sauce to thicken.
  • Serve warm or cold.
