Cocoa and Chili Dry Rub

Hereʼs an unexpected twist on a spicy dry rub. It might not make sense at first, but the cocoa powder adds a nice warmth and depth to the mix.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cup paprika
  • ¼ cup ground black pepper
  • ¼ cup salt
  • ¼ cup light brown sugar
  • ¼ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 2 Tbsp. garlic powder
  • 1 Tbsp. cayenne pepper

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in a bowl and mix well. Store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
