Coconut and Brazil Nut Smoothie
This is a nutritious, protein-rich smoothie that will satisfy your hunger. Maca powder is made from the root of a Peruvian plant. You can buy it at some supermarkets, health food stores, and online.

- ¼ cup Brazil nuts
- 1 cup young coconut water
- 2 cups young coconut meat
- 1 cup orange juice
- 1 cup mango, peeled, pitted, and chopped
- 2 tsp. maca powder
- Grind the Brazil nuts in the coconut water, using an S-blade food processor. (You can also use a high-speed blender, but nuts can destroy a less-powerful conventional blender.) Once smooth, strain mixture through a fine mesh strainer to remove any large particles. Add remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.
