You can use parchment paper instead of plastic wrap or wax paper. Use any herbs and spices that are on hand.

- 1 lb. unsalted butter, softened at room temperature
- 1 bunch parsley, chopped
- 8 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ tsp. salt
- ½ freshly cracked black pepper
- In a medium-size bowl, thoroughly mix together the butter, parsley, garlic, salt and pepper.
- Spread onto wax paper or plastic wrap, and wrap tightly. Freeze completely, then slice into small pats.
