Cookie Frosting

Use this to frost sugar-cookie cut-outs. Decorate the frosted cookies with nonpareils and colored sugar.

  • ¼ cup heavy cream
  • 4 tsp. butter, melted
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ cup confectioners' sugar


  • Gently heat the cream over medium-low heat without bringing it to a boil or simmer; remove from heat.
  • In a bowl, combine the hot cream, butter, vanilla, and sugar. Stir until smooth.
