Couscous with Peas
Couscous is a tiny pasta popular in North African cuisine. It is very easy and quick to make and is a nice alternative to rice or potatoes as a side dish. You can buy it at most supermarkets.

Ingredients
- 1 3⁄4 cups water
- 1 tsp. chicken-flavored bouillon granules
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup couscous, uncooked
- 3⁄4 cup frozen peas, thawed
Directions
- Combine water, bouillon granules, and salt in a medium saucepan. Bring to a boil.
- Remove from heat. Add couscous and peas. Cover and let stand until liquid is absorbed and couscous is tender, about 5 minutes. Fluff couscous with a fork.
