Cran-Apple Sauce

This sauce is simple, sweet, and loaded with antioxidants like vitamin C.

  • 1 cup fresh cranberries
  • 8 apples, peeled, cored, and chopped
  • ½ cup raw honey
  • 1 cinnamon stick, halved
  • 6 whole cloves


  • Combine cranberries, apples, and honey in a 4- or 6-quart slow cooker.
  • Place cinnamon stick and cloves in center of a 6" square of cheesecloth. Pull up sides and tie to form a pouch. Place in slow cooker.
  • Cover and cook on low for 4–5 hours or until cranberries and apples are very soft. Remove cinnamon and cloves. Pass sauce through a ricer or transfer to a food processor and pulse until smooth.
