Cranberry Walnut Blondies

These are wonderful plain, but you can also add a cream cheese frosting to take them to a brand-new level.

  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • ⅛ tsp. salt
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup dried cranberries
  • ½ cup chopped walnuts

Directions

  • Butter 8" × 8" pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Mix butter with brown sugar; beat until smooth, then add egg and vanilla. Add salt and flour; stir until well blended. Fold in cranberries and walnuts.
  • Bake 20–25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
