Cranberry Walnut Blondies
These are wonderful plain, but you can also add a cream cheese frosting to take them to a brand-new level.

- 1⁄2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup dried cranberries
- 1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts
- Butter a 8-by-8-inch pan. Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix butter with brown sugar; beat until smooth, then add egg and vanilla. Add salt and flour; stir until well blended. Fold in cranberries and walnuts.
- Bake 20 to 25 minutes. Cool completely before cutting.
