  • 8 cups popped popcorn
  • 2¼ cups dry-roasted peanuts
  • ⅔ cup toasted almonds
  • 1⅓ cups sugar
  • 1 cup butter
  • ½ cup light corn syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla extract


  • Mix together the popcorn, peanuts, and almonds in a shallow roasting pan, spread evenly in the pan, and set aside. Mix together the sugar, butter, and corn syrup in a 2-quart saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until the mixture boils. Continue boiling, stirring occasionally, for about 15 minutes, or until the temperature registers 290°F on a candy thermometer.
  • Remove from the heat and stir in the vanilla. Pour over the popcorn mixture, stirring to coat well. Spread out to cool on parchment paper. Break into pieces and store in a tightly covered container.
