Creamy Mashed Potatoes

Dress up dried potato flakes by cooking them with butter and milk and then whipping them with sour cream and Parmesan cheese.

  • 2 cups water
  • 1⁄3 cup milk
  • 3 Tbsp. butter
  • 2 cups potato flakes
  • 1⁄3 cup sour cream
  • 1⁄4 cup grated Parmesan cheese


  • In large saucepan, combine water, milk, and butter over high heat. Bring to a rolling boil, then add potatoes flakes and remove from heat.
  • Let stand for 1 minute, then whip with a fork. Stir in sour cream and Parmesan cheese, cover, and let stand for 2 minutes. Serve.
