Crockpot BBQ Sauce

Let this sauce slowly simmer and blend in your crockpot while you start the ribs on the grill. During the last half-hour of cooking, slather this sauce all over the ribs.

Ingredients

  • 2 cans (8 oz.) tomato sauce
  • 2 cups ketchup
  • 4 chipotle chilies in adobo sauce, minced
  • 1 Tbsp. red chili powder
  • 4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp. chili paste
  • 4 Tbsp. mustard
  • 1 tsp. cumin
  • ¼ tsp. cayenne pepper
  • ½ cup grated onion
  • 1 tsp. garlic pepper
  • 4 Tbsp. molasses
  • 4 Tbsp. apple cider vinegar

Directions

  • Combine all ingredients in 3-quart slow cooker and cook on low for 3 hours, stirring twice during cooking time, until blended and slightly thickened. Do not use a larger cooker, as the sauce may burn.
