Traditional Cuban sandwiches are made in a press called a plancha, which has no grooves on the cooking surface. Grooves or no grooves, either way is delicious.

- 1 hoagie roll, top and bottom buttered and sliced lengthwise
- ½ Tbsp. butter
- 3 slices ham
- 3 slices roast pork
- 3 slices provolone cheese
- 1 dill pickle, sliced lengthwise
- 1 Tbsp. yellow mustard
- Preheat the panini press. Layer Swiss cheese, ham, and roasted pork, and on the bottom half of hoagie roll. Add pickle slices. Spread mustard onto the top of the roll and place on top of sandwich. Place on press, close lid, and cook for 3–5 minutes. Remove from press, cut in half, and serve warm.
