Dairy-Free Green Smoothie with Pears

This is an easy and delicious way to get your daily requirement of fresh green vegetables. For another flavor variation, add 1 tablespoon fresh mint at the end of blending. If you blend herbs such as mint for too long, they become bitter.

  • 4 cups pear, peeled, cored and chopped
  • 6 Tbsp. lemon juice
  • 2 cups water
  • 4 cups lettuce, chopped


  • Place pears, lemon juice, and water into the blender. Blend for a short time until ingredients are mixed well. Gradually add in the lettuce and continue blending until smooth.
