Dessert Fruit Sauce
Use berries, pitted cherries, or peeled and diced apples, pears, peaches, or plums for this recipe. Any variation is lovely on pound cake or over ice cream.

- 3 cups chopped strawberries
- 2 cups sugar
- In a heavy saucepan, combine strawberries and sugar. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until sugar dissolves and mixture comes to a boil.
- Boil strawberry mixture for 5 minutes. Remove from heat and allow to cool. Transfer to a food processor or blender and pulse until smooth.
