Easy Cooked Shrimp Scampi with Pasta

Scampi is the Italian word for little lobster-like creatures, also known as langoustines. It is also the name of this classic Italian pasta dish that is made with shrimp in this country.

Ingredients

  • 1 Tbsp. olive oil
  • 1 tsp. lemon juice
  • ¼ cup unsalted butter
  • 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
  • 2 cups cooked shrimp
  • ¼ tsp. ground paprika
  • 1 Tbsp. chopped fresh parsley
  • 2 cups cooked spaghetti

Directions

  • Heat the olive oil, lemon juice, butter, and garlic in a skillet over medium heat, stirring to melt the butter. (Turn down the heat if the butter begins sizzling.)
  • Add the shrimp. Cook for a minute, stirring to heat through and mix it in with the melted butter. Stir in the paprika and fresh parsley.
  • Serve the shrimp over the spaghetti.
