Essential Chocolate Frosting

Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 2 cups confectioners’ sugar
- 2 oz. semisweet chocolate, melted and cooled
- 1⁄2 tsp. vanilla extract
- 1⁄8 tsp. salt
- 2 or 3 Tbsp. light cream
Directions
- In a bowl, cream the butter until light. Gradually stir in 1 cup of the confectioners’ sugar, then the melted chocolate, and then the rest of the sugar as needed. Stir in the vanilla, salt, and enough cream to create a good frosting consistency. Blend well.
