Fig and Ginger Chutney
Use as a fruit spread atop pancakes or toast, or to liven up a basic dessert.

- 2 lbs. fresh figs
- 2 Tbsp. minced fresh ginger
- 2 Tbsp. lime juice
- ½ cup water
- ¾ cup honey
- Place all the ingredients in a large saucepan. Bring to a boil over high heat and then reduce to a simmer over medium-low heat, stirring often, for 45 minutes, until the liquid is absorbed.
- Pour into airtight containers and refrigerate for up to 6 weeks.
